§ · careers

Careers. We hire senior.

Fifty people across five offices. No bench-warming, no make-work tickets. If you want to ship and own outcomes, send a real application.

§ 01 · the short version

"Senior" is a specific bar, not a vibe.

We hire senior because the work is senior. Clients pay us for compressed pattern recognition - the version of the answer that took someone five years to learn the slow way and now arrives on day one. That's hard to fake, and it's the reason the day rate is what it is. So when a role opens, the bar is: 4-7 years of operator experience minimum, a portfolio of work you actually shipped (not designed for, not advised on - shipped), and an opinion about your craft that's specific enough to argue with.

What we are not is a training school. We don't run apprenticeships, intern programmes, or "associate" tracks. The smallest team you'll be on is two people; the largest is six. There's nowhere to be quiet. If you want a graduate scheme, the right route is one of the bigger consultancies - ThoughtWorks, Deloitte Digital, the like - then come back in three or four years.

§ 02 · where the team sits

Five offices, one hiring bar.

Two staffed HQs in New York and Delhi, three smaller satellites in London, Sydney, and Lucknow, plus a remote tail across eight countries. Roles are office-attached for tax and timezone reasons, not because we expect bums in seats. Hiring bar, comp band, and review process are identical across all of them.

satellite · ~5 ppl

London

8 countries

Contract or local-employer-of-record depending on jurisdiction. Same Slack, same cadence, no office mandate ever.

§ 03 · roles we hire

Six crafts, staffed seniors-only.

Below are the six crafts the studio is built around. We don't hire generalists, project managers without a craft, or "delivery leads" - the lead on a project is always the senior practitioner. If your shape is in here and your portfolio backs it up, the application makes sense.

§ 04 · how it runs

Four steps, two to three weeks end-to-end.

Short loop on purpose. We've watched enough good candidates take a faster offer somewhere else to know that a six-week pipeline is its own filter, and not the one we want. Every step is run by a senior practitioner, not by HR.

step 01 · 3 days

Portfolio review

A senior in your craft reads your application and shipped work. Yes / no / maybe verdict in three business days. Roughly one in eight applications gets to the next step.

step 02 · 60 min

Craft call

A 60-minute call with the lead in your craft - not HR, not a recruiter. Half is a deep walk-through of one piece of your shipped work, half is a working conversation on a real problem.

step 03 · 1 paid day

Take-home

A real client problem - sanitised, scoped to one working day. Paid at our standard day rate, regardless of outcome. Reviewed by two seniors, verdict in three business days.

step 04 · 90 min

Final-round panel

Founder plus two leads. References checked in parallel. Offer or pass back inside five business days. No leverage games on comp - we open the band.

§ 05 · what we offer

Top-quartile comp, no theatre.

No ping-pong tables, no kombucha-in-the-fridge stories. The package is built for senior people with families and lives, not for 22-year-olds chasing perks. The numbers below are real bands, paid in your local currency, indexed to your office's market.

Bucket What it is
Compensation Top quartile of local market, paid in INR, USD, GBP, or AUD per office.
Equipment M-series MacBook Pro plus a 4K external monitor. Replaced every 3 years.

Health Private health cover for you and dependants where it's the local norm.
Remote True remote: no office mandate, ever. Work from home, co-working, or wherever.
Profit share Annual profit share pool after year two. Tied to studio P&L, paid in cash.
§ 06 · questions

The five we get most.

If your question isn't here, write to hr@digitalheroes.co.in. Reply within three business days.

Are you hiring right now? +
Most of the time, no. Hiring is a small-batch activity here - one or two roles a quarter at most, and only when an existing team member explicitly says they need a hand. There is no perma-recruiting funnel. We keep applications on file for 12 months and re-open the file when a role opens, which means you don't need to refresh your CV the moment a job ad goes up - send a strong application now and it stays on the shortlist.
Do you take juniors or fresh grads? +
Almost never. The model is senior-heavy because the work is senior-heavy - clients pay for ten years of pattern recognition, not three years of pattern recognition plus a willingness to learn. Most hires have 4-7 years of operator experience minimum. The honest path is: ship some real work for a few years, then come back. We will read a resubmission with extra weight if you applied earlier and now have shipped portfolio to point at.
Can I work fully remote? +
Yes. About a third of the team works fully remote across India, the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, and AU. Same Slack, same Friday note, same scope discipline as the office-based folks. There is no office mandate and there will not be one. The two HQs and three satellite offices exist for the people who like working from a desk that isn't the kitchen table.
How does the take-home work? +
After the craft call, you get a real client problem - sanitised, but real - and one working day to ship a response. Code, design, strategy, copy: format depends on the role. We pay for the day at our standard day rate before you start, regardless of outcome. The take-home is reviewed by the same lead who does the craft call plus one other senior, and the verdict comes back inside three business days.
What if I get rejected - can I reapply? +
Yes, after at least nine months. We keep notes on every application so the next round starts from where the last one ended, not from zero. The most common reason for a 'not now' is mismatch between role openings and your craft - rather than your craft itself - and that situation often flips inside a year. About one in five hires came from a second or third application.
§ 07 · send a real one

How to apply.
